The Departure of Dido and Aeneas for the Hunt was painted by the rococo French painter Jean-Bernard Restout in 1774. The work of art was painted with the size - 12 5/8 x 15 3/4 in (32,0675 x 40,005 cm) and was painted with the techinque of oil on paper on canvas. This piece of art is in the the digital art collection of Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Besides this, the alignment of the digital reproduction is in landscape format and has a ratio of 1.2 : 1, meaning that the length is 20% longer than the width. Jean-Bernard Restout was a painter, whose art style can be attributed mainly to Rococo. The French painter lived for a total of 65 years - born in 1732 and died in the year 1797.
