The artwork Elephant was made by the artist Leo Gestel in 1891. Nowadays, this artpiece is part of the collection of Rijksmuseum, which is the largest museum for Dutch art and history from the Middle Ages to the present day. The painter, graphic artist Leo Gestel was an artist, whose artistic style can mainly be assigned to Expressionism. The painter lived for 60 years - born in the year 1881 in Woerden, South Holland, Netherlands and died in the year 1941.
