King Saul, David greeted as the slayer of Goliath. Outside a gate welcomes Saul with his entourage and a large crowd David, kneeling before him. David behind a number of soldiers with flags and the sword and helmet of Goliath. Left in the foreground is the severed head of the Philistine reports.
