What does the curator team of the Rijksmuseum state about the work of art made by Rembrandt van Rijn? (© - Rijksmuseum - www.rijksmuseum.nl)
Downcast, the biblical prophet Jeremiah leans his tired head on his hand. He mourns the burning city of Jerusalem (left background), the destruction of which he had predicted. The most important part of the depiction – the figure of Jeremiah – is painted with great precision, while his surroundings are barely worked out. Rembrandt used powerful contrasts of light and shadow to heighten the drama of the scene.

Your product product material options
In the dropdown selection next to the article you can pick your favorite material and size. You can choose among the following product customization options:
- Poster (canvas material): The poster print is a printed sheet of flat canvas with a nice surface finish. A printed poster is particularly designed for placing the art copy with a custom frame. Please note, that depending on the absolute size of the poster print we add a white margin of approximately 2 - 6cm round about the painting, which facilitates the framing.
- Aluminium dibond print: Aluminium Dibond prints are metal prints with an outstanding depth. The direct UV print on aluminium is one of the most popular entry-level products and is a truly contemporary way to display art prints, because it draws attention on the artwork.
- Canvas: A printed canvas, which should not be confused with an artwork painted on a canvas, is a digital replica printed on a UV direct printing machine. A canvas has a extra look of three-dimensionality. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, which means that it is easy to hang up the Canvas print without the help of extra wall-mounts. Therefore, a canvas print is suitable for all kinds of walls.
- The acrylic glass print: An print on acrylic glass, which is often referenced as a UV print on plexiglass, will turn your favorite artwork into stunning décor. The artwork will be manufactured with modern UV print technology. The acrylic glass protects your chosen fine art print against light and external influences for many years to come.

Important note: We try whatever we can in order to describe our art products as exact as possible and to display them visually on the product detail pages. Still, the pigments of the print products, as well as the imprint may diverge slightly from the presentation on your monitor. Depending on the settings of your screen and the nature of the surface, not all color pigments can be printed 100% realistically. Since the fine art prints are processed and printed by hand, there may also be minor differences in the size and exact position of the motif.
