• Aluminium dibond print (metal): These are metal prints on aluminium dibond with a true depth, which creates a contemporary impression by having a surface , which is not reflective. The bright and white parts of the work of art shine with a silky gloss, however without the glow. The colors are vivid and luminous in the highest definition, the fine details of the print appear clear and crisp, and the print has a a matte look that you can literally feel.

Degas' family was relatively affluent, so he did not have to rely entirely on sales of his work for financial support. He was thus free to experiment and choose his own subjects; almost all of his portraits depict relatives or friends. He was also able to delay finishing paintings, reworking them until they met his exacting standards. Many times Degas retrieved works he had already delivered so that he could perfect them. Some he never completed.

This unfinished portrait of Degas' sister and her Neapolitan husband is one such example. (The painting was in his studio at the time of his death.) Notice how Thérèse's dress and shawl are undefined masses of color. There, Degas has scraped and rubbed the paint off the canvas. The dark lines indicate changes he intended but never made. The faces, by contrast, are carefully finished, detailed and expressive. Degas hoped to capture his sitters, he said, in "familiar and typical attitudes."

In 1865 the French painter Edgar Degas painted the work of art. The version of the artpiece has the following size: 117,2 x 89,7 cm (46 1/8 x 35 5/16 in). Oil on canvas was used by the European painter as the medium of the work of art. Today, the artpiece belongs to the National Gallery of Art's collection, which is the museum of the US-American nation that preserves, collects, exhibits, and fosters an understanding of works of art. Edgar Degas was a male photographer, poet, engraver, painter, sculptor from France, whose artistic style can be attributed mainly to Impressionism. The European painter lived for a total of 83 years - born in 1834 and died in the year 1917 in Paris, Ile-de-France, France.
