General description by the museum's website (© Copyright - by Rijksmuseum - www.rijksmuseum.nl)
Prometheus stole fire from the gods and gave it to mankind. As punishment, Vulcan chained him to a rock, where an eagle pecked out his liver causing him excruciating pain. Here we see Prometheus being chained, his face contorted with fear, while Mercury laughs at him. Van Baburen borrowed the dramatic illumination and the figure’s sunburned hands and faces from his great model Caravaggio.

The colors are luminous and vivid in the highest definition, details are clear and crisp, and you can perceive a matte appearance of the fine art print. The print on Aluminum Dibond is the most popular entry-level product and is an extremely stylish way to showcase art prints, since it puts the viewer’s focus on the replica of the artwork.
- Canvas: The printed canvas material applied on a wooden stretcher frame. It has the particular look of three-dimensionality. Furthermore, a canvas print makes a familiar and pleasing impression. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, meaning that it is easy to hang up your Canvas print without additional wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suited for all types of walls.
- Poster print (canvas material): A poster print is a printed canvas paper with a slightly rough texture on the surface. A printed poster is perfectly used for placing the art replica using a custom-made frame. Please keep in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the poster we add a white margin between 2-6 cm around the painting to facilitate the framing with your custom frame.
