This landscape is animated by three knights on their way to a stream. The steep site depicted here is around Frascati (Lazio in Italy). The leading pines and cypresses belongs to the park of Villa Rufinella and we distinguish right this could be the Villa Mondragone. In the distance, the Alban Hills are treated by the process of atmospheric perspective.
On the advice of his master Pierre-Henri de Valenciennes Chauvin made his first visit to Italy in 1802 and settled permanently in Rome in 1804. The introduction of three riders armor in this landscape design of a classic is all characteristic of the influence of troubadour painting. Arcadian sweetness emanates from the landscape bathed in sunset light green with delicate harmonies; evocative work for the French amateur who had glimpsed the Roman countryside on the occasion of a probable trip to Tivoli.Probable inspiration Ingres.

Select your desired material
For every fine art print we offer a range of different materials and sizes. We allow yout to choose among the following variants:
- The canvas print: The canvas print is a printed canvas stretched on a wood stretcher. What is more, canvas print creates a cosy and enjoyable ambience. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, meaning that it is quite simple to hang up your Canvas print without the support of any wall-mounts. A canvas print is suited for all kinds of walls.
- Poster print on canvas material: The Artprinta poster print is a UV printed cotton canvas with a slightly roughened structure on the surface. Please note, that depending on the size of the poster we add a white margin of approximately 2-6cm around the print motif, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
- The acrylic glass print (with real glass coating): An acrylic glass print, often labelled as a UV print on plexiglass, makes the original work of art into brilliant décor and forms a good alternative to canvas or dibond fine art replicas. The work of art will be manufactured with state-of-the-art UV direct printing machines. This creates sharp and rich color tones.
- Aluminium dibond print (metal): Aluminium Dibond prints are prints on metal with an impressive depth. A non-reflective surface make a fashionable impression.
