In a desert landscape, a dense group of characters on foot and on camel is en route to Mecca. As head of the caravan, a black man dressed in red and carrying a spear leads his animal richly caparisoned for the occasion. A procession of camels carrying two large flags. A horseman galloping brandishing a spear. On the left stands the dark silhouette of a woman and her two children who greet the procession as it passes.
