The highest-ranking Dutch East India Company (VOC) official in Asia was the governor-general. He presided in the Castle of Batavia (now Jakarta, Indonesia), a fort built by the Dutch. The assembly hall in the Castle of Batavia was the centre of Dutch power in Asia. The walls were hung with portraits of all of the governors-general. Most of the 18th-century examples shown here were painted in Asia, often by anony¬mous artists.

Select the product material of your choice

For every product we offer a range of different materials and sizes. The following sizes and materials are the options we offer you for individualization:

  • Metal (aluminium dibond print): Aluminium Dibond prints are prints on metal with a true depth. The Aluminium Dibond Print is the ideal introduction to art reproductions on aluminum. For the Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print the work of art onto the surface of the aluminum composite.
  • Printed poster on canvas material: The Artprinta poster is a UV printed flat cotton canvas paper with a slight structure on the surface. Please bear in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of something between 2-6 cm round about the work of art in order to facilitate the framing.
  • The canvas print: A canvas direct print is a printed cotton canvas mounted on a wooden frame. A canvas of your favorite masterpiece will let you turn your customized art print into a large work of art as you know from art galleries. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, which implies that it is quite simple to hang up the Canvas print without the use of additional wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suited for any kind of wall.
  • Acrylic glass print (with real glass coating): A glossy acrylic glass print, often referred to as a UV print on plexiglass, will turn your favorite original work of art into lovely décor and is a good alternative option to canvas and dibond fine art replicas. The great advantage of an acrylic glass print is that contrasts and minor artwork details become exposed with the help of the precise tonal gradation of the print. The plexiglass with real glass coating protects your chosen art replica against sunlight and external influences for many decades.
