Although the work is dedicated by the artist Alice Lockroy remarried widow of Charles Hugo, mother of Georges and Jeanne and thought we could it be then passed to his daughter Jeanne to son thereof, Charles Daudet who donated it to the museum, a statement on the inventory register indicates that the painting was purchased by him to the widow of the artist. There is a pastel and a study of the same subject.
