The barrier of the Throne, 1840, current 11th and 12th arrondissements. Urban landscape. The barrier is seen from the Place du Trone towards Vincennes. Representation pavilions and columns before setting up statues of St. Louis and Philip Augustus in 1845.

The throne fence built in 1787 by Ledoux, opened on the road connecting Paris to Vincennes. This painting was attributed to Leprince when acquired.
