Portrait of the young Marcel Bing (1875-1920), goldsmith and jeweler. He helped his father Siegfried Bing in the management of the gallery Art Nouveau before succeeding him in the trade of Asian art in 1905. The Besnard relations with the Bing family materialize in 1895 with a living room decoration rotunda on the ground floor of the gallery opened the new art by Siegfried Bing at 22 rue de Provence. This portrait could date from this period.
