This 17th century masterpiece Minerva was made by the baroque painter Rembrandt van Rijn in the year 1630. The more than 390 years old original version has the size: height: 61,7 cm width: 53,5 cm | height: 24,3 in width: 21,1 in. Oil on panel was used by the painter as the medium of the artwork. Nowadays, the artpiece is included in the Mauritshuis's art collection, which the Mauritshuis is home to the best artworks of Dutch painting of the seventeenth century. This public domain piece of art is included with courtesy of Mauritshuis, The Hague. Besides, the artwork has the creditline: Abraham Bredius, The Hague, 1899-1946 (on long-term loan to the Mauritshuis since 1899); bequest of Abraham Bredius, 1946. Rembrandt van Rijn was a painter of Dutch nationality, whose art style can mainly be attributed to Baroque. The painter was born in 1606 in Leiden and died at the age of 63 in 1669 in Amsterdam.
