Thirteen self-assured officers of the Amsterdam militia, the city’s armed civic guard, are portrayed here. From 1580, at the initiative of William of Orange, the old militia guilds were refashioned into civic guards organized along military lines. The officers were recruited from the upper levels of society. The dark muzzled dog at right contrasts comically with the jaunty little lapdog at centre jumping up on its owner’s legs.

Your canvas print of your favorite artwork will allow you to transform your art print into a large size artpiece. The great advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, meaning that it is easy and straightforward to hang your Canvas print without the use of additional wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suited for any type of wall.
- Acrylic glass print: An print on acrylic glass, which is often referenced as a fine art print on plexiglass, will convert your original into brilliant home décor. Your own replica of the work of art will be printed with modern UV print technology. It creates sharp, intense color tones. With an acrylic glass art print contrasts as well as painting details become recognizeable with the help of the granular tonal gradation.
- Metal print (aluminium dibond): This is a metal print made on aluminium dibond material with a true depth effect. For your Direct Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print the favorite artpiece onto the aluminium white-primed surface. Colors are luminous, fine details of the print are crisp, and you can literally perceive the matte appearance.
- Printed poster (canvas material): The poster print is a printed sheet of canvas with a fine texture on the surface. It is particularly used for framing the art copy using a personal frame. Please bear in mind, that depending on the size of the poster we add a white margin 2-6cm around the print to facilitate the framing with your custom frame.
