In this rare collaborative effort by the little-known painters Trego and Williams, two trappers clad in deerskins, and two of their four hunting dogs, look toward an unknown objective in the distance, out of range of the canvas. The image combines naïveté of execution with realism of content: the brown horse, drooping and up to its ankles in snow, is particularly expressive of the hardships of the fur trade.
Trappers is an artwork made by the male painter Jonathan K. Trego. The original measures the size: 25 x 30 in (63,5 x 76,2 cm). Oil on canvas was used by the artist as the technique for the artpiece. The artwork belongs to the digital collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, which is one of the world's largest and finest art museums, which includes more than two million works of art spanning five thousand years of world culture, from prehistory to the present and from every part of the globe.. Materials our customers can choose
For every art print we offer a range of different sizes and materials. In order match your personal requirements perfectly, you can choose among the following product customization options:
- Poster on canvas material: A poster print is a printed sheet of cotton canvas with a slightly rough structure on the surface. It is designed for placing your art print using a personal frame. Please note, that depending on the size of the poster print we add a white margin of something between 2-6cm around the print motif in order to facilitate the framing with a custom frame.
- Aluminium print (aluminium dibond): These are metal prints on aluminium dibond material with an outstanding effect of depth, which creates a contemporary impression throuch a non-reflective surface. The direct print on aluminium is one of the most demanded entry-level products and is an extremely sophisticated way to showcase fine art prints, as it draws attention on the replica of the artwork.
- Acrylic glass print (with real glass coating on top): An print on acrylic glass, which is often labelled as a an art print on plexiglass, will turn your favorite original artwork into beautiful home décor. In addition, the acrylic glass print is a viable alternative option to canvas and dibond fine art replicas. The major advantage of an acrylic glass fine art copy is that contrasts as well as artwork details will be recognizeable due to the very subtle tonal gradation of the print.
- Canvas print: The canvas print, not to be mistaken with a painting on a canvas, is a digital image printed on a UV direct printing machine. How can I hang a canvas on the wall? A canvas print has the advantage of being low in weight. That means, it is easy and straightforward to hang your Canvas print without additional wall-mounts. A canvas print is suited for all kinds of walls.
