Artwork information by the museum's website (© Copyright - by The Metropolitan Museum of Art - www.metmuseum.org)
Lehmann executed several portraits, both painted and drawn, of his first cousin Faustine Léo. This portrait clearly emulates the example of his master, Ingres, notably in its smooth, polished surface and the crisply delineated contours of the figure. Yet its intensely saturated palette and intimate mood set Lehmann's work apart from that of Ingres. The portrait bears its original frame.

Choose your material variant
For every product we offer different sizes & materials. You can pick your preferred material and size between the following preferences:
- The poster print (canvas material): The poster print is a UV printed canvas with a fine surface finish. Please note, that depending on the size of the poster we add a white margin between 2-6 cm round about the painting in order to facilitate the framing.
- The canvas print: The canvas print, which should not be confused with a canvas painting, is a digital replica printed on a cotton canvas. How do I hang a canvas on my wall? The great advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, which implies that it is easy and straightforward to hang your Canvas print without the support of extra wall-mounts. Therefore, canvas prints are suitable for any type of wall.
- Print on glossy acrylic glass: A glossy print on acrylic glass, often denoted as a UV print on plexiglass, will transform your favorite original work of art into brilliant home décor and offers a distinct alternative to dibond or canvas fine art prints. The great advantage of a plexiglass art print is that contrasts and also color details become identifiable because of the fine gradation. Our real glass coating protects your selected art replica against light and external influences for between 40-60 years.
- Aluminium dibond print: An Aluminium Dibond print is a print with a true depth. For your Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print the chosen artwork onto the surface of the aluminum. The colors are luminous and vivid, the details appear clear and crisp, and there’s a matte appearance that you can literally feel.

Nevertheless, the pigments of the printing material and the printing may differ to a certain extent from the representation on the screen. Depending on the screen settings and the nature of the surface, color pigments may not be printed as realisitcally as the digital version on this website.
