Product background information

In 1612 the painter Jan Anthonisz van Ravesteyn painted this painting "Portrait of an Officer". The more than 400 years old original version measures the size: height: 115 cm width: 96,5 cm | height: 45,3 in width: 38 in. Oil on canvas was used by the artist as the medium of the piece of art. The artwork's inscription is the following: signed and dated: JR / Anº 1612 / R.F.bears inscription: 23.. Nowadays, this piece of art forms part of the Mauritshuis's digital collection. This public domain artpiece is supplied with courtesy of Mauritshuis, The Hague. On top of that, alignment is portrait with a side ratio of 1 : 1.2, which implies that the length is 20% shorter than the width.
