English: In October 1888, Gauguin arrived in Arles in southern France, where Vincent van Gogh was already staying. Throughout the autumn, the two artists lived and worked together. Tension arose and grew between them, leading to the dramatic crisis when van Gogh cut off part of his ear after a vicious quarrel. In his landscapes from Arles, such as this one, Gauguin depicts nature as decorative fields of colour without any illusion of depth. Some sections are enigmatic – note, for instance, the shadow cast by the dog in the corner!

Materials our customers can choose
We offer a range of various sizes and materials for every product. Thus, we allow you to choose among the following options:
- Printed acrylic glass: An acrylic glass print, often denoted as a plexiglass print, will turn the artwork into wonderful décor and makes a distinct alternative to canvas or dibond prints. Your own replica of the artwork will be made with the help of state-of-the-art UV printing machines. The major upside of an acrylic glass fine art print is that sharp contrasts and minor image details will be more visible with the help of the very subtle tonal gradation in the print.
- Canvas print: The printed canvas stretched on a wood stretcher frame. Hanging a canvas print: Canvas Prints have the advantage of being relatively low in weight, which implies that it is easy and straightforward to hang up your Canvas print without any wall-mounts. Because of thata canvas print is suited for all kinds of walls.
- Poster print (canvas material): The poster is a printed canvas paper with a fine surface texture. It is particularly designed for framing your art replica with the help of a customized frame. Please note, that depending on the absolute size of the poster print we add a white margin of approximately 2-6cm around the work of art to facilitate the framing with your custom frame.
- Metal (aluminium dibond print): These are metal prints on aluminium dibond with an outstanding effect of depth. The non-reflective surface structure creates a modern look. The colors of the print are luminous, the details are crisp and clear, and you can notice the matte appearance of the art print surface.
