The story of Christ Blessing the Children is found in the Gospels. When children are brought to Christ for blessing, and his disciples raise objections, Christ counters with the words inscribed across the top of this panel: "Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God" (Mark 10:14). The painting and its pendant, Christ and the Adulteress (seen to the right), share the theme of the free dispensation of divine grace, a central tenet of Lutheranism. Their small size suggests that they were meant for a private setting.

Select a product material option
For every art print we offer different materials and sizes. Choose among the following product options now to match your preferences in size and material:
- Aluminium dibond print: These are metal prints on aluminium dibond material with a true depth. A direct Direct Print on Aluminum Dibond is your perfect start to fine art prints with aluminum.
- Acrylic glass print: The print on acrylic glass, which is sometimes described as a plexiglass print, will transform your favorite artwork into brilliant décor. Additionally, it offers a good alternative option to dibond or canvas fine art replicas. The acrylic glass protects your custom fine art print against sunlight and external influences for many more years.
- The poster print (canvas material): A poster is a printed canvas with a slightly roughened surface texture. Please keep in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the poster we add a white margin between 2-6cm around the artwork in order to facilitate the framing with a custom frame.
- The canvas print: The printed canvas, which should not be confused with a painting on a canvas, is a digital copy printed on a canvas fabric. It has the exclusive effect of three dimensionality. The great advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, which implies that it is quite simple to hang your Canvas print without additional wall-mounts. Therefore, canvas prints are suited for all kinds of walls.
