This view from the left bank of the Seine River encompasses the Tuileries Gardens and the Louvre, at left, and the Palais d'Orsay and Hôtel de Salm (Palais de la Légion d'Honneur), at right. Yet the prominence of the industrial barges and crane underscore the appeal of Paris’s working waterfront to Jongkind’s aesthetic sensibility. Jongkind first moved from Holland to France in 1846, sketching along the banks of the Seine from 1849 onward. In his studio, he transformed the sketches into oil paintings such as this one, which he showed in the 1855 Exposition Universelle in Paris.

A direct Direct Print on Aluminum Dibond is the excellent introduction to art reproductions with aluminum. For the Aluminium Dibond option, we print the chosen artpiece onto the surface of the white-primed aluminum composite. This UV print on aluminium is one of the most demanded entry-level products and is a truly contemporary way to display fine art reproductions, as it puts 100% of the viewer’s attention on the image.
- Poster (canvas material): The poster is a UV printed canvas paper with a fine texture on the surface, which reminds the actual work of art. It is particularly designed for placing your fine art print in a custom frame. Please note, that depending on the absolute size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of around 2-6 cm around the work of art to facilitate the framing with your custom frame.
- Acrylic glass print: An acrylic glass print, often referred to as a fine art print on plexiglass, makes your favorite original work of art into stunning décor and forms a great alternative to aluminium or canvas fine art prints. Your favorite artwork is custom-made thanks to modern UV printing technology.
- Canvas: A canvas print is a printed canvas mounted on a wooden frame. It produces the unique impression of three-dimensionality. Hanging a canvas print: Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, meaning that it is quite simple to hang the Canvas print without extra wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suitable for all kinds of walls.
