Available material choices
For every fine art print we offer different materials and sizes. Thus, we allow you to choose among the following options:
- Acrylic glass print: The print on acrylic glass, which is often denoted as a plexiglass print, will turn your favorite original into gorgeous décor and makes a distinct alternative to canvas or dibond fine art replicas. The plexiglass with real glass coating protects your chosen fine art print against sunlight and external influences for many more years to come.
- Poster print (canvas material): A poster print is a UV printed canvas with a fine surface texture. It is perfectly suited for putting the fine art print in a custom-made frame. Please note, that depending on the absolute size of the poster we add a white margin 2 - 6cm round about the painting to facilitate the framing.
- Canvas: The printed canvas mounted on a wood stretcher frame. A canvas print has the advantage of being relatively low in weight, which means that it is easy to hang up your Canvas print without extra wall-mounts. A canvas print is suitable for all kinds of walls.
- Aluminium print (aluminium dibond): These are metal prints on aluminium dibond with an impressive depth effect. A direct Direct Print on Aluminum Dibond is your perfect introduction to art prints manufactured on alu. The colors are bright and vivid in the highest definition, fine details of the print are very clear, and you can feel the matte appearance of the art print surface.
Important note: We try our utmost to depict our products as closely as possible and to demonstrate them visually on the different product detail pages. However, the colors of the print materials, as well as the print result may vary marginally from the presentation on your screen. Depending on the settings of your screen and the quality of the surface, color pigments may not be printed 100% realistically. Considering that all the art prints are printed and processed manually, there may as well be slight deviations in the exact position and the size of the motif.
General information by the museum (© - The Metropolitan Museum of Art - www.metmuseum.org)
Tissot was an early and avid aficionado of Japanese woodblock prints, from which silhouetted figure and the prominent clump of vegetation in this work are thought to derive. Until this painting reappeared at auction in 1981, its composition was known only by means of a related drypoint. When that print was exhibited in London, in 1876, it was inexplicably singled out by a critic who described it as "intensely vulgar, but clever enough for the public it appeals to."
