The classic art masterpiece Portrait of a Man was painted by Jacob Adriaensz Backer. The original has the following size height: 71,3 cm width: 60,4 cm | height: 28,1 in width: 23,8 in and was painted with the technique of oil on panel. Today, the artwork is in the the collection of Mauritshuis in The Hague, South Holland, Netherlands. This public domain piece of art is being included with courtesy of Mauritshuis, The Hague. The creditline of the artpiece is the following: M.J. Hollender sale, Brussels, Galerie Saint-Luc, 10-12 April 1888, lot 7 (as a self-portrait by Ferdinand Bol); purchased, 1888. Moreover, alignment is portrait with a side ratio of 1 : 1.2, which implies that the length is 20% shorter than the width.
