This more than 360 year old work of art named Old Man, Asleep was painted by the artist Abraham van Dijck in 1656. The version of the masterpiece was painted with the exact dimensions: height: 50,8 cm width: 47 cm | height: 20 in width: 18,5 in. Oil on canvas was applied by the artist as the medium of the painting. The original artpiece has the following text as inscrption: "signed: AVDyck f. / 1656bears inscription: Man Rembrandts / 117". In addition to this, the alignment is in square format and has a side ratio of 1 : 1, meaning that the length is equal to the width. Abraham van Dijck was a painter, whose style can mainly be attributed to Baroque. The Dutch painter was born in the year 1636 in Amsterdam and deceased at the age of 44 in 1680 in Dordrecht.
