The Infancy of Zeus was painted by the artist Nicolaes Pietersz Berchem in the year 1648. Signed and dated: CBerrighem. 1648. was the painting's inscription. It can be viewed in in the Mauritshuis's collection, which the Mauritshuis is home to the best artworks of Dutch painting of the seventeenth century.
