The Raven Robbed of the Feathers He Wore to Adorn Himself was made by the male painter Melchior d' Hondecoeter. The 340 year-old piece of art was made with the absolute size: height: 176 cm width: 189 cm | height: 69,3 in width: 74,4 in and was manufactured on the medium oil on canvas. The original artwork is inscribed with the information: "signed and dated: M d hondecoeter / A° 1671". Besides, the work of art can be viewed in in the Mauritshuis's art collection, which the Mauritshuis is home to the best artworks of Dutch painting of the seventeenth century. The painter Melchior d' Hondecoeter was a European artist from the Netherlands, whose style can be classified as Baroque. The painter was born in 1636 and died at the age of 59 in 1695.
