Bears signature: M: d’Hondekoeter was the painting's original inscription. It is included in the Mauritshuis's collection in The Hague, South Holland, Netherlands. Furthermore, alignment is in portrait format and has a ratio of 1 : 1.2, meaning that the length is 20% shorter than the width. Melchior d' Hondecoeter was a male painter, whose artistic style can primarily be classified as Baroque. The Baroque painter lived for 59 years, born in the year 1636 and passed away in 1695.
