In 1760 the male painter Giovanni Battista Tiepolo created this rococo piece of art "Virtue and Abundance". The beyond 260 years old original creation measures the size: Diameter 114 in (289,6 cm) and was crafted with the technique of fresco, transferred to canvas. It can be viewed in in the The Metropolitan Museum of Art's digital art collection. The creditline of the artpiece is: Bequest of Grace Rainey Rogers, 1943. Moreover, alignment is square and has a ratio of 1 : 1, which implies that the length is equal to the width. The painter, printmaker Giovanni Battista Tiepolo was an artist, whose art style can primarily be attributed to Rococo. The artist was born in 1696 in Venice, Venezia province, Veneto, Italy and passed away at the age of 74 in 1770.

Like the other frescoes in this room, this large roundel is from the Palazzo Valle-Marchesini-Sala in Vicenza. It simulates a sculptural relief and decorated the ceiling of a long gallery, whose lateral walls were embellished with the allegorical figures of the liberal arts. It depicts the two allegorical figures of Virtue, on the left, and Abundance, with the cornucopia, on the right.
