Oil on canvas was used by the Dutch artist as the medium of the artpiece. The original artwork's inscription is: "inscription and dated: ÆTAT SVÆ. 19 / ANo 1625". Frans Hals was a male painter of Dutch nationality, whose style can primarily be classified as Baroque. The Baroque artist was born in the year 1582 in Antwerp, Antwerpen province, Flanders, Belgium and passed away at the age of 84 in 1666.
