The inscription on the frame refers to Danloux painter, but it is never a question of Dufriche-Desgenettes in the painter's diary, published by Baron Portalis. The painting was given to Big upon entry to the museum.

The more than 220 years old work of art was created by the painter Ecole française. The original masterpiece has the following text as inscrption: Registration - On the front, on the right wall: "It Waterproof / Blood / Dedicated to Deffence / the homeland.". Nowadays, the artpiece forms part of the art collection of Musée Carnavalet Paris in Paris, France. Furthermore, alignment is in portrait format with a ratio of 1 : 1.2, meaning that the length is 20% shorter than the width.
