As early as 1750/1752 led Maulbertsch the large-format ceiling painting "Allegory of the Four Seasons" for the castle Kirchstetten in Lower Austria from. Our image has been classified in the literature mostly as earlier design for the enrichment content in the course as a composer learned. In the bottom center of Neptune can be seen with the trident and sea horses.
