Rubens made this oil sketch in preparation for a large canvas formerly in Berlin (destroyed in 1945). The final composition was proportionately taller, with God the Father moved closer to the Virgin, who seems to more strongly ascend. In earlier works by Rubens and in Coronations going back to the late Middle Ages, Christ’s role is even more dominant than here.

Your canvas print of this artpiece will provide you with the opportunity to transform your fine art print into a large work of art like you would see in a gallery. Hanging your canvas print: The great advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight. That means, it is quite simple to hang up the Canvas print without the support of extra wall-mounts. Therefore, canvas prints are suited for any kind of wall.
- Aluminium dibond: This is a metal print made on aluminium dibond material with a true depth effect. The non-reflective surface make a modern look. For your Aluminium Dibond print, we print your selected artwork onto the surface of the aluminum. The colors are luminous and bright in the highest definition, details of the print are crisp and clear, and the print has a a matte look you can literally feel.
- Poster (canvas material): The Artprinta poster is a UV printed canvas with a granular texture on the surface. Please note, that depending on the size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of around 2-6cm around the work of art, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
- Printed acrylic glass: A glossy print on acrylic glass, often denoted as a UV print on plexiglass, will convert your original artwork into wonderful décor. Further, it offers a viable alternative to canvas and dibond fine art replicas. The work of art will be manufactured with the help of state-of-the-art UV direct printing machines. The major benefit of a plexiglass art print is that sharp contrasts and also small painting details become more exposed thanks to the very fine gradation of the picture. Our plexiglass protects your chosen fine art print against sunlight and heat for decades.
