This profile view of the first flutist and concertmaster of the Paris Opéra, Joseph-Henri Altès, is one of Degas's many portraits of musicians. As a "little joke," Lousine Havemeyer, who originally owned the painting, hung it between two Renaissance portraits and was quite pleased to find that "the modern master held his own."

Select your preferred product material
For every fine art print we offer a range of different sizes and materials. The following sizes and materials are the options we offer you for individualization:
- Aluminium dibond print (metal): These are metal prints on aluminium dibond material with an outstanding effect of depth - for a modern look and a non-reflective surface structure. The colors of the print are bright and luminous in the highest definition, details appear very clear, and the print has a a matte look that you can literally feel.
- Poster (canvas material): The Artprinta poster print is a printed flat canvas paper with a granular surface texture. Please bear in mind, that depending on the absolute size of the poster print we add a white margin of around 2-6cm round about the work of art in order to facilitate the framing.
- Canvas print: A printed canvas stretched on a wooden stretcher frame. The great advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, which means that it is easy and straightforward to hang the Canvas print without the support of any wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suited for any type of wall.
- The glossy acrylic glass print: A glossy acrylic glass print, often referred to as a UV print on plexiglass, will turn your favorite original artwork into wonderful home décor. The major benefit of an acrylic glass print is that contrasts and also image details will be more visible thanks to the very fine tonal gradation in the print. Our acrylic glass protects your custom fine art print against light and heat for between 40-60 years.
