Sketch poured into the municipal collections after the contest judgment (second bonus for all four sketches) .Concours won by Binet, Baldwin gets the first premium, Arus, Delance, Dupray associated with Gilbert getting the second (final judgment in February 1890 )

Explanation

Sketch for the office of the Prefect of the Paris City Hall: The external defense was by the painter René Joseph Gilbert in 1889. The 130 year-old artpiece was made with the size Height: 48,5 cm, Width: 109,5 cm and was painted with the medium Oil, Canvas (material). The original artwork is inscribed with the following information: Signature - Signature bottom left: "H. DUPRAY - R. GILBERT". It forms part of the Petit Palais - Musée des Beaux-arts de la Ville de Paris's collection, which is an art museum in the 8th arrondissement.
