The over 110 year old piece of art was made by the art nouveau painter Osman Hamdi Bey. The original version has the following size 145 x 171 cm - frame: 150 x 177 x 6,5 cm. Oil on canvas was used by the artist as the medium of the artpiece. It was inscribed with the text: "signed and dated on the left side: Hamdy Bey.1902.". Furthermore, the work of art forms part of the art collection of Belvedere. The painter Osman Hamdi Bey was an artist, whose artistic style was mainly Art Nouveau. The artist was born in 1842 in Istanbul and passed away at the age of 68 in 1910.
