This is the only known portrait of a black man in early European painting. He may have served at the Brussels court of Emperor Charles V, who had a black archer called Christophle le More among his bodyguards. The badge of the Virgin on his cap is a souvenir of a pilgrimage to Halle (Brabant), a favourite destination of pilgrims from the Brussels court.

Choose your product material

We offer a range of various materials and sizes for every product. We allow you to pick your favorite size and material among the following product individualization options:

  • Canvas: The canvas print, not to be confused with an artwork painted on a canvas, is an image printed from a UV direct printing machine. It produces a exclusive effect of three-dimensionality. How do I hang a canvas print on my wall? Canvas prints are relatively low in weight. This means, it is easy to hang your Canvas print without the support of extra wall-mounts. Hence, a canvas print is suited for all types of walls.
  • Aluminium dibond: Aluminium Dibond prints are prints on metal with an impressive depth effect, which creates a modern look throuch a surface , which is not reflective. The bright & white components of the original artwork shine with a silky gloss but without the glow.
  • Poster print (canvas material): The poster is a UV printed cotton canvas paper with a nice surface finish. Please note, that depending on the size of the poster we add a white margin between 2-6cm around the print, which facilitates the framing.
  • Glossy acrylic glass print: An acrylic glass print, which is sometimes named as a plexiglass print, transforms your favorite original work of art into wonderful décor and makes a distinct alternative option to dibond and canvas fine art replicas. The major benefit of a plexiglass fine art print is that sharp contrasts and smaller artwork details will be more exposed because of the very subtle tonal gradation.
