Portrait of Johannes Thedens (1680-1748). Governor General (1741-43). Standing at half length, with breastplate, baton in his right hand, the left hand side. Left in the background the castle of Batavia, right columns. Part of a series of copies of portraits of the governors general of the former Dutch East Indies, probably from the East India Company.
