Portrait of Pieter Cornelis Hasselaer, Board of India and mayor of Amsterdam with his family. Presented are, from left to right: Hendrik Nicolaas (1749-1810) with book, Cornelis Pieter (1741-67) with microscope Clara Susanna (1752-1808), Geertruida Constantia (1746-94), Wendela Eleonora (born in 1743 ) with fan, and Dirk Wybrand (1754-78). One chair is the portrait of Mother Clara Wendela Sautijn (d. 1756). The family is portrayed in a room with an Oriental rug on the floor, a painting of Minerva in original rococo frame on the wall.
