The work of art The Liberation of Saint Peter was made by Gaetano Gandolfi. The over 250 year-old original was painted with the following size - unframed: 95,3 x 70,3 cm (37 1/2 x 27 11/16 in) framed: 114,6 x 89,7 cm (45 1/8 x 35 5/16 in). Oil on canvas was applied by the Italian painter as the technique for the painting. Moveover, this work of art belongs to the Yale University Art Gallery's digital collection. The classic art artpiece, which belongs to the public domain is being included with courtesy of Yale University Art Gallery. The creditline of the artpiece is: The Leonard C. Hanna, Jr., Class of 1913, and the Maitland F. Griggs, 1896, Funds. Moreover, alignment of the digital reproduction is portrait and has a side ratio of 3 : 4, which means that the length is 25% shorter than the width. Gaetano Gandolfi was a painter, sculptor from Italy, whose artistic style was primarily Neoclassicism. The artist lived for 68 years - born in 1734 in Emilia-Romagna, Italy, region, administrative division and passed away in 1802.
