Description of this more than 200 years old artpiece

This 19th century artwork Friar Pedro Offers Shoes to El Maragato and Prepares to Push Aside His Gun was made by the Spanish artist Francisco José de Goya y Lucientes. The version of the piece of art was made with the size: 11 1/2 × 15 3/4 in (29,2 × 38,5 cm). Oil on panel was applied by the European artist as the technique for the painting. Nowadays, this work of art can be viewed in in the digital art collection of Art Institute Chicago, which is one of the world’s great art museums, housing a collection that spans centuries and the globe. The modern art artwork, which is part of the public domain is being included with courtesy of Art Institute Chicago. Besides, the artpiece has the creditline: Mr. and Mrs. Martin A. Ryerson Collection. The alignment of the digital reproduction is in landscape format with a ratio of 4 : 3, which means that the length is 33% longer than the width. Francisco José de Goya y Lucientes was a painter, whose artistic style can be attributed mainly to Classicism. The artist was born in 1746 in Fuendetodos in Zaragoza and passed away at the age of 82 in the year 1828.
