The view is from the terrace of the former hotel of Belle Isle. Beyond the Tuileries gardens, we see, from left to right, the dome of the Church of the Assumption, the top of the Vendome column, the roofs of the Saint-Roch church and its tower (that would be destroyed in 1879); basically Montmartre hill and its mills.
