Herrenbildnis was by the romanticist painter Erasmus von Engert. The beyond 190 years old original was painted with the size: 68,5 x 54,5 cm. Oil on canvas was applied by the painter as the medium of the artpiece. The original artwork has the following inscription: "signed and dated lower left (illegible): Engert 1822". This work of art can be viewed in in the Belvedere's digital art collection, which is one of Europe's most famous museums with three locations that blends the experience of architecture and art in a unique way. Erasmus von Engert was a painter, whose art style can be classified as Romanticism. The artist lived for a total of 75 years - born in 1796 in Vienna and died in the year 1871.
