The 19th century artpiece was made by the male French artist Alexandre Gabriel Decamps in the year 1860. The original measures the size: 27 × 35,4 cm (11 5/8 × 13 7/8 in). Oil on paper (mounted on canvas) was used by the European artist as the technique for the masterpiece. Moveover, this artwork is in the the Art Institute Chicago's art collection, which is one of the world’s great art museums, housing a collection that spans centuries and the globe.
