General information from The Metropolitan Museum of Art website (© Copyright - The Metropolitan Museum of Art - www.metmuseum.org)

In this splendid triptych the talents of a landscape specialist have been combined with those of the figurative painter Joos van Cleve. The setting for the Crucifixion, witnessed by the Virgin, Saint John, and the donor with his patron Saint Paul, is a vast landscape whose style is indebted to Joachim Patinir (represented in the adjacent gallery). The panoramic vista unifies the interior. On the left wing are Saints John the Baptist and Catherine, on the right Anthony of Padua and Nicholas of Tolentino. The latter two suggest that the altarpiece was an Italian commission. The frame is original but regilt.

Select the material you would like to hang up in your home

In the dropdown selection right next to the article you can pick your prefered material and size. We allow yout to choose among the following variants:

  • Printed acrylic glass: A glossy acrylic glass print, which is often described as a UV print on plexiglass, will transform your favorite original artwork into brilliant décor and is a great alternative to canvas or aluminium dibond fine art prints. The artwork is being custom-made with the help of state-of-the-art UV direct print machines. The real glass coating protects your chosen fine art print against light and external influences for many more years to come.
  • Aluminium dibond print: An Aluminium Dibond print is a print material with a true depth. A non-reflective surface structure creates a modern impression. The white & bright sections of the artpiece shimmer with a silky gloss but without the glow. The colors of the print are luminous and vivid, the fine details of the print appear clear and crisp, and there’s a matte appearance you can literally feel.
  • Poster print (canvas material): The poster print is a UV printed canvas paper with a slightly rough surface texture. Please note, that depending on the size of the poster we add a white margin of approximately 2 - 6cm around the artwork, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
  • Canvas: The canvas print, not to be confused with an artwork painted on a canvas, is an image printed from a UV direct printing machine. A canvas creates the typical impression of three-dimensionality. Further, a printed canvas makes a attractive and comfortable feeling. A printed canvas of your favorite work of art will give you the unique opportunity to turn your fine art print into a large size artwork. A canvas print has the advantage of being low in weight. That means, it is quite simple to hang your Canvas print without extra wall-mounts. Hence, canvas prints are suitable for all types of walls.
