This more than 120 year-old artpiece named Motionless water was made by the male painter Fernand Khnopff in 1894. The over 120 years old original version had the size 53,5 x 114,5 cm - frame dimensions: 61,5 x 122 x 7 cm vitrified and was painted with the technique of oil on canvas. The original artwork has the following text as inscrption: name on the bottom left (scratched): Fernand Khnopff. Today, this piece of art is in the the art collection of Belvedere. With courtesy of: © Belvedere, Vienna, inventory number: 7753 (license: public domain). The creditline of the artpiece is: transfer from the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna in 1987. In addition to this, the alignment of the digital reproduction is landscape with an image ratio of 2 : 1, meaning that the length is two times longer than the width. Fernand Khnopff was a photographer, writer, painter, sculptor, philosopher, whose style was mainly Symbolism. The European painter lived for 63 years - born in 1858 in Dendermonde, East Flanders, Flanders, Belgium and passed away in 1921 in Brussels, Bruxelles region, Belgium.
