Artwork description from the museum's website (© Copyright - by Rijksmuseum - Rijksmuseum)

Two dead roosters, a water rail and a kingfisher hang upside down from cords above a marble slab. There are a couple of flies on them: are they painted or real? Van Aelst not only imitated what he saw, he transformed it into an elegant composition. The subtle grey, violet and blue hues make this a special painting, one that was a sought-after collector’s item already in the painter’s time.

  • Canvas: A printed canvas, not to be confused with a real painting on a canvas, is a digital replica printed from an industrial printing machine. A printed canvas of your favorite artpiece will provide you with the unique opportunity of transforming your customized fine art print into a large size collection piece like you know from art galleries. Hanging a canvas print: Canvas Prints have the advantage of being relatively low in weight, which means that it is quite simple to hang up your Canvas print without the use of any wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suitable for any kind of wall.
  • Metal (aluminium dibond print): This is a metal print manufactured on aluminium dibond material with an impressive depth. The non-reflective surface make a fashionable look. For your Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print the artwork right on the surface of the white-primed aluminum. The white & bright sections of the original artpiece shimmer with a silky gloss but without the glow. Colors are luminous in the highest definition, the details of the print are clear and crisp, and you can feel the matte appearance of the surface.
  • Printed acrylic glass: An print on acrylic glass, which is often described as a fine art print on plexiglass, transforms your favorite original artwork into magnificient wall décor. Beyond that, the acrylic glass art print is a viable alternative option to dibond or canvas fine art replicas. The artwork will be printed with the help of state-of-the-art UV direct print technology. The acrylic glass protects your selected art replica against sunlight and heat for up to 60 years.
  • Poster print on canvas material: Our poster print is a UV printed sheet of flat canvas paper with a granular finish on the surface. The poster print is excellently suited for putting your art copy using a personal frame. Please note, that depending on the size of the poster print we add a white margin 2-6cm round about the print, which facilitates the framing.

Important note: We try whatever we can in order to depict our art products as closely as it is possible and to showcase them visually. Please keep in mind that the tone of the print materials, as well as the print result might differ marginally from the representation on your monitor. Depending on the settings of your screen and the nature of the surface, color pigments can unfortunately not be printed as realistically as the digital version shown here. Given that all art prints are printed and processed by hand, there may as well be slight discrepancies in the exact position and the size of the motif.
