Background information on the more than 90 year-old painting

The over 90 year old artpiece was made by the painter August Rieger. The more than 90 years old original measures the size: 45 x 40 cm - frame dimensions: 56,5 x 51,5 x 5 cm. Oil on canvas was used by the European artist as the medium of the artpiece. The original masterpiece has the following text as inscrption: "signed and dated lower left: AVGVUST / RIEGER / 19-25". Besides, the artwork is included in the collection of Belvedere. We are glad to mention that the artpiece, which belongs to the public domain is supplied with courtesy of © Belvedere, Vienna, inventory number: 6307. The creditline of the artpiece is the following: gift gallery Urbach, Vienna in 1979. In addition to this, the alignment is in portrait format with an image ratio of 1 : 1.2, which means that the length is 20% shorter than the width. The painter, landscape painter August Rieger was an artist from the Netherlands, whose art style can primarily be classified as Modern Art. The painter was born in the year 1886 in Vienna and passed away at the age of 55 in the year 1941.
