This masterpiece was painted by the romanticist painter William Trost Richards. The artwork had the size: Unframed: 61 x 50,9 cm (24 x 20 1/16 in). Oil on canvas was applied by the North American artist as the medium of the artpiece. The artwork has the following inscription: "signed lower left: Wm T. Richards. / 1870". Nowadays, this work of art is in the the The Cleveland Museum of Art's art collection, which is one of the leading museums worldwide that builds, preserves, studies, and shares its outstanding collections of art from all periods and parts of the world, generating new scholarship and understanding, while serving as a social and intellectual hub for its community. Besides this, the alignment is portrait and has a ratio of 1 : 1.2, which means that the length is 20% shorter than the width. William Trost Richards was a painter of American nationality, whose artistic style can be classified as Romanticism. The Romanticist painter lived for 72 years - born in 1833 and died in 1905.
