Joseph von Führich was a painter, whose art style can mainly be classified as Romanticism. The Romanticist artist was born in the year 1800 in Kratzau / Chrastava, Czech Republic and died at the age of 76 in the year 1876.

Forty days lasted over the city of Jerusalem, a celestial phenomenon, the heck the inhabitants fear and terror. A little later, the terrible idea came true, because Antiochus IV. (175-164. Chr.), The dreaded ruler of the Seleucid Empire conquered the city. When he tried to subdue the population by banning the practice of religion, there was an uprising of the Maccabees, which resulted in the independence of the Jewish people (2 Macc. 5: 1-4).
