The engraver, painter Asher Brown Durand was a North American artist, whose artistic style can be attributed mainly to Romanticism. The Romanticist artist was born in 1796 in Jefferson, Monmouth county, New Jersey, United States and passed away at the age of 90 in the year 1886 in Maplewood, Essex county, New Jersey, United States.
