This modern art masterpiece was created by the romanticist painter Ary Scheffer in 1817. The original had the following size of 57 3/4 x 70 1/2 in (146,69 x 179,07 cm) and was painted with the techinque of oil on canvas. The artwork is included in the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's art collection, which is the largest art museum in the western United States, with a collection of more than 142.000 objects that illuminate 6.000 years of artistic expression across the globe.
